About EXPLICIT
A community of BSIT students at PUP–San Pedro Campus dedicated to innovation, collaboration, leadership, and service through meaningful technology learning and engagement.
Preamble
We, the students of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – San Pedro Campus, united by the spirit of service, academic excellence, leadership, and camaraderie, do hereby establish this Constitution to govern the Explorers in Communication and Information Technology (EXPLICIT).
This Constitution shall serve as the fundamental law of the Organization, ensuring democratic governance, effective leadership, and the holistic development of its members in the pursuit of excellence in the field of Information and Communication Technology.
Vision, Mission, Goals, Objectives
Section 1. Vision
- 1.1. The EXPLICIT Organization envisions itself as a premier academic organization of BSIT students at PUP–San Pedro Campus, fostering innovation, collaboration, and leadership in the field of Information Technology while upholding the values of integrity, excellence, and service.
Section 2. Mission
- The EXPLICIT Organization commits to:
- 2.1. Act as the official academic and co-curricular organization representing the student body of BSIT at PUP–San Pedro Campus;
- 2.2. Serve as a liaison between BSIT students and the faculty, promoting open dialogue and collaboration;
- 2.3. Defend, promote, and protect the rights and welfare of BSIT students while serving as an active forum for their ideas and sentiments;
- 2.4. Uphold the ideals of the University geared towards the holistic development of every student mentally, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically;
- 2.5. Instill campus awareness, civic responsibility, and social consciousness among IT students;
- 2.6. Unite with other student organizations and concerned sectors of the University in the pursuit of the common good.
Section 3. Goals
- The EXPLICIT Organization shall:
- 3.1. Provide an academic and social forum for BSIT students to express, develop, and realize their ideas, skills, and potential.
- 3.2. Further the general welfare of BSIT students and contribute to the growth of the PUP–SPC community.
- 3.3. Encourage active student involvement in projects and activities that promote IT excellence, leadership, service, and community engagement.
- 3.4. Strengthen the academic, technical, and professional competencies of BSIT students through events, competitions, workshops, and symposia.
- 3.5. Develop a sense of responsibility, discipline, and service-oriented leadership among BSIT students.
Section 4. Objectives
- In pursuit of its vision and mission, the EXPLICIT Organization shall strive to:
- 4.1. Conduct academic activities such as seminars, workshops, hackathons, research forums, and exhibits to enhance IT knowledge and skills.
- 4.2. Organize extra-curricular and socio-civic activities that foster leadership, teamwork, creativity, and community involvement.
- 4.3. Establish partnerships with industry professionals, alumni, and external organizations for academic and career development opportunities.
- 4.4. Promote a culture of innovation, ethical technology use, and social responsibility.
- 4.5. Ensure active communication and collaboration between students, faculty, and administration on matters concerning BSIT student welfare.
History

Students Proficient in Electronics and Communications System (SPECS) established as the pioneering org.
Transition to EXPLICIT
SPECS transitions into EXPLICIT — Explorers in Communication and Information Technology.
Fifth Directors’ Cup
EXPLICIT proudly claims its fifth Directors’ Cup, marking years of excellence.

The official EXPLICIT website goes live to showcase initiatives, events, and community.
